How Does Tennis Tracking with Zenniz Work?
At Zenniz, we are reshaping the world of tennis technology with modern solutions. We provide players with an innovative tennis tracking system, designed to enhance the tennis experience for players of all levels.
Are you ready to understand how the Zenniz tracking system works?
Created by tennis enthusiasts for tennis enthusiasts, our system utilizes advanced technology to provide tennis players with features for a more fun experience on the court.
Let’s bite into what goes on inside Zenniz’s tennis tracking system.
Dual Tracking Technology
Zenniz uses both sound and video data to make precise line calls. This is done with our patented dual tracking technology.
Zenniz’s dual tracking technology tracks every detail of the game accurately. This allows for precise tennis tracking, with an error margin of just 7mm. Zenniz’s precision meets the standards of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and is approved for use in official ITF matches. The Zenniz system transforms tennis with these features:
Video replay
Real-time feedback
Interactive drills
Audio Triangulation
Audio tracking sets the foundation for the precision of Zenniz’s line calls and tennis tracking. Audio triangulation uses microphones to track the sound of the ball hitting the racquet and bouncing, determining its exact position on the court. This is done with 30 microphones placed around the court.
Zenniz uses audio triangulation technology, to accurately determine the ball’s landing and striking points. This patented technology sets Zenniz apart from other smart tennis systems, which mostly rely on video for tracking.
Video Verification
Zenniz uses four cameras strategically positioned around the court for optimal coverage. The cameras not only help Zenniz to achieve accurate tennis tracking but also give players a chance to observe their performance through video.
How the cameras are placed:
Two cameras are integrated into the Zenniz machine at the net post
One camera on each side films the court from the back
This setup ensures detailed video coverage of the entire court, providing a great view of all court events.
The cameras integrated in the Zenniz system have several roles:
Verify and Confirm the audio system’s decision: The net post cameras verify and confirm the audio system’s decision on the location of bounces and shots, essentially double-checking the decision made by the audio system.
Monitor player Movement: The net post cameras monitor player movement, allowing you to analyze your court positioning.
Video footage of your session: The cameras at the back of the court capture high-quality video footage of your sessions. You can watch your game footage on the Zenniz machine during your session, or access it through the Zenniz app afterwards.
