Serving the future: SNUC brings innovation to the court

SNUC, a dynamic tennis organization located in the city of Nantes on the banks of the Loire River in western France, is an active player in the tennis scene.

SNUC’s head coach Sébastien Tesson says the club has 1300 members, 600 of whom are under 18 years old. A total of 12 coaches are responsible for providing high-quality coaching. In France, tennis has long-standing traditions and a strong position in society.

“Tennis appeals to all audiences. It is also a very technical sport in which you can progress throughout your life. Tennis allows you to focus on yourself, and the social bond is very strong”, summarizes Tesson.

One aspect of the sport's popularity is the excitement and visibility of top-level tennis, as well as the investments made by the French Tennis Federation in competitive and elite-level tennis. SNUC also had the chance to enjoy and engage with the performances of their player Clément Tabur at the 2025 French Open.

Tabur is also connected to the story of how Zenniz was adopted at SNUC.

“We met with Geoffroy Lacour, the founder of Beesbusy, along with Tabur, regarding a potential collaboration. We were looking for visibility, a court naming proposal with an innovation. We wanted a system that wasn't a gimmick but one that was long-term,” Tesson explains.

Zenniz's equipment had been in trial use at the Mouratoglou Academy in Nice, and SNUC's team went there to check it out as well.

“We were delighted with the trial.”

Innovation.

That’s the word SNUC and its partner Beesbusy were looking for. It’s also the word the entire tennis industry is chasing. Professional tennis has long used data and electronic line-calling, and wooden rackets are now relics of the past. However, recreational players largely continue playing as they always have; hitting the ball over the net, rally after rally, without any digital footprint. But technology is changing that reality.

Sébastien Tesson says SNUC’s members and coaches like the new technology. A technology that enables electronic line calls and challenges in tournaments, and brings players into the world of statistics, highlight videos, and streaming. Just like at the professional level.

“Zenniz is easy to use and efficient. Especially the serve is hard to work on and less motivating, but the drill system is excellent.”
